  This place has some really good home cooked style food. Well seasoned in a southern style (onions, garlic and spicey) the way I like it. The meat loaf stands out and the mashed potatoes and gravy its served with are so good. The okra shrimp and sausage have that same home made flavor. My daughter was supposed to save me a taste of the shrimp fettuccine, but that didn't happen (I guess that speaks for itself). Best to be there waiting at noon like me, because by 2pm often earlier the good stuff is gone. They keep fried fish and fried turkey wings most of the day. The Gumbo is very good and well recommended. I usually wait to be served by the older ladies who work the deli counter, they take good care of me. If you're looking for southern style home cooking, this place should definitely be on your lunch list.
